Utilities - Send Services Options

1. What types of utility payments can I make using Planet Talk?
You can use Planet Talk to pay utility costs for the following services:

  • Electricity

  • Water

  • Gas

  • Internet

  • Landline

  • Television

  • VoIP

Note: Not all options will be available for every destination.




2. Can I choose how to pay for utilities?
Yes, when making a payment, you can choose to pay directly from:

  • Your saved card (via Apple Pay or Google Pay), instead of using your Planet Talk balance.


Please note: Utilities payments will always be direct payments.

3. What details do I need to provide when making a utility payment?
Before making a payment, ensure that you have the following details:

  • The account number of the service provider

  • The recipient's mobile number (required by some providers)


Ensure all information is correct, as mistakes cannot be rectified.

4. Can I pay an existing bill or charge a pre-paid meter?
Yes, you can:

  • Pay an existing bill statement or

  • Top-up a pre-paid meter.


5. What are the payment options available for utilities?
There are two payment options:

  • Fixed Amount: Choose a payment amount from the displayed options.

  • Ranged Amount: Select a payment amount from a given range.


6. What if I need to know the exact amount of the bill?
You may need to know the exact bill balance for the statement you want to pay. Be sure to ask the recipient for the correct amount beforehand.


7. How can I track my utility payments?
After making a payment, you can track all of them via the Send tab in the app. This will show you the current statuses of your payments.


8. Why is my utility payment showing as "Pending"?
It can take up to 10 minutes for your payment to complete. Payments that are voided will appear as "Voided" in the Send screen.


9. Are there any special considerations for electricity payments in India and Pakistan?
Yes, electricity utility payments in India and Pakistan may take up to 24 hours before the provider loads the funds onto the electricity meter. If the credit is not loaded within 24 hours, please wait the 24 hours before raising the issue with Customer Service.


10. How can I get help if I face issues with utilities payments?
