Adding Credit and Auto Top Up

Adding Credit

  • How to Add Credit

    • From the Home screen, select the “Add Calling Credit” option.

    • Choose the amount you wish to add and apply any promo codes (if available)before completing the top-up.

  • Payment Methods

    • When using a credit/debit card for the first time, authentication is required. The initial authentication will be for £0 to verify your card. Follow the on-screen steps and avoid pressing back. Please have a read over Authenticating your Bank Card.

    • Important: When on the payment page, do not press the back button or exit until the payment has been successfully confirmed. Leaving the page may interrupt the process, leading to incomplete transactions.

    • You can store multiple payment cards and manage them in the app under Settings > Payment Methods. Here, you can:

      • Add or delete payment cards. Please note that Planet Talk cannot add or delete your payment card (s) on your behalf, as your card details remain completely private and inaccessible to us.

      • Enable or disable auto top-up, which automatically recharges your account when your balance is low.

    • Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported for seamless payments.

  • Credit Validity

    • Credit Expiry: Your top-up credit expires 180 days after your last activity (topping up your in app credit or making a call). Keep track of these dates to ensure your credit remains active.

    •  You can view your expiry date right under your credit balance in the app.

Managing Your Account

  • Auto Top Up: Planet Talk is a self-use service. Only you have access to your card details and auto top-up settings. It is important to note that Planet Talk cannot turn on or turn off your Auto Top Up setting for you.

  • Promotions: Apply promo codes during the top-up process to enjoy discounts and special offers.

Staying Connected

  • Activity Reminder: Ensure you make calls or top up regularly to keep your account active and credit valid.
